Lake scenes from Switzerland

Switzerland is a country of many lakes, some of them which are man-made and the presence of these mountain water bodies adds to the natural beauty of Switzerland. Here are photos of some breathtaking scenery around the lake, and of the mountain lakes. The photographs here are of the smaller lakes around the city of Lucerne, not of Lucerne Lake itself.

This is Lake Trub which is on the way to the Titlis mountain and can be seen clearly from the cable car. This lake seems to be dug right into the rocky surface of a mountains, on the edge of a sheer cliff. The mountains surrounding the small lake provides for beautiful scenery.

When you actually walk down to the lake you realise that it is not tiny at all. You cannot see where it ends as you stand on the edge. To the left are huge mountains, and to the right fir trees. A small boathouse is in the water.

A small water body or lake in Switzerland. It is amazing how clean, clear and blue the waters are even though humans live just a few feet away. Appears to be man-made.

Sunsets on Lake Vembanad in Kerala

The warm colors that you see in these photographs are very genuine. The sunset we saw on Lake Vembanad was colourful with oranges and yellows fading into darkness. In the foreground you can see fishing boats silhouetted against the fading sky.

Halasuru or Ulsoor Lake in Bangalore

Ulsoor Lake is now known as Halasuru lake. It is in the heart of the city, near MG road and is one of Bangalore's bigger lakes. As can be seen from these bird's eye view photographs the lake is surrounded by urban structures. A pretty lake in the midst of buildings.

Lake in Ladakh - Pangong Tso

Pangong Tso is a lake in the Himalayas and these are views of the lake from Ladakh in India. It borders not just India  but also Tibet and China. It freezes in winder although it is saline water. Apparently there is no aquatic life here although presence of  birds is seen. A number of migratory birds come here to nest.

These are photographs of the lake with blue skies as the background. The mountains are silhouetted against the sky and the blue waters of the lake are in the foreground. The first picture can be used as a header, as it is a stitched picture of two images, giving a panoramic view of Pangong Tso lake.

Snow-capped mountains can be seen in the background. A rough stony lake bank.

The water is so clear that the pebbles on the river bed are visible. Gray pebbles.

In this picture of the Ladakh lake the is a lone motorcyclist riding on the banks of the lake.

This is a serene nature scene. The waters of the lake are still. This area is very serene and still

Lake Lucerne Photos

Lake Lucerne is in the city of Lucerne, in central Switzerland. You can go around the lake by road, although the road is narrow at times, and through tunnels. This lake is used frequently by steamers which go from ply between the different towns on the lake. It is a popular tourist destination.

Nature headers of a lake-side

Here are free panoramic nature scenes of a lake-side which can be used for headers for blogs. All of the photographs are a canvas of three pictures each and are high resolution photos.

As all nature lovers know, the very stillness of nature is enchanting. In the photo below, it's dusk, and not a hint of breeze. There's no lush green vegetation, in fact just dry brush. Yet, the beauty of the scene takes one's breath away.

The second photograph offers a glimpse of the hills through the dry branches of a tree. In the foreground are some green plants and inbetween, a field.

The next two photos are of a small lake in Kamshet at different times of the day. The first one is at dusk. The light is dull and one can see the lake disappearing into the distance into the hills.

In this last panorama the light is brighter and the yellowness of the dry ground gives the picture a good colour. The water of the lake is clear, with the hills reflected in it.

This file comprises of four pictures stitched together. It can be used as a header. This nature scene has a smalle lake curving around a hill in the centre of the picture. And the lake is surrounded by several hills.

Free Headers of Nature Scenes - Lake and Trees

This is the beginning of series of header scenes of different types. Most of these photographs are of a high resolution and very large files. They present a panoramic view as they have been put together by combining several photographs. As sizes of headers differ for different themes, you will not find fixed or matching sizes here. The frame can be adjusted by cropping as per your requirements. Remember, the files are very large and can be cropped to most desired sizes for headers.

The scene in the following photos is just one (Kamshet lake and surrounding areas), but at the same time it is different, either because of the angle of the frame, or because a different number of photos make up each image.

The first picture is a breathtaking panorama of six different pictures. The result gave me a picture of 1.6 mb. Too large for you to view the actual size on this post but clicking on the image will take you to the actual picture.

The second photograph also gives a panoramic view of the scene, but it is made up of four pictures, giving you a closer look at the lake.

The next photograph is made up of three stitched photos. The scene is similar to the one above but is a closer view.

The last photograph is the same scene from a different angle. The trees on the right side of the lake are more clearly visible in this one as well as the little house in the trees.
