The shady bars of Mumbai

Here are some photographs of the small not so respectable drinking places. This is a place which you cannot enter if you are well-dressed or sophisticated. Well, you can but you will feel very out of place and could be shunted out because someone will be suspicious as to your motives. A security guard is nearly always present outside such places. These are places where you can get some cheap entertainment. Dance shows are regular in places like these, and this is where you usually find "bar girls".

Usually you will find taxis parked right at the entrance, to carry drunk customers and their friends. Other common fixtures around the bars are paan and ghutka shops.
