Here are colorful and pretty photographs of brown spotted butterflies drinking nectar from a plant. Green leafy background with a pink flower. The pictures are similar, but different. The second image is a closer up, and focuses on the butterfly on the right.

Cellphone graphic backgrounds

Today electronic goods like ipads, ipods, and cell-phones have become essentials. These are background graphics of these gadgets.

Textile graphics or textile art

These are graphic representations of the textile industry. Some of the illustrations are from cotton looms and some are simply that of folded fabric. This first one creates a geometric picture of thread being woven. Original photographs of a high resolution are available on which this textile art is based.

This is a graphical representation of wrapped thick cotton thread.

The next two graphics are a part of a cotton loom weaving fabric. The zig-zag glowing pattern can create an interesting background.

Flowers as backgrounds

A single orange flower against a green background. Orange hibiscus with striped yellow and green leaves. Higher res images available.

Here is a painted impression of violet chapha (plumeria) flowers against a fading blue and white vignette background. In the foreground are the large green leaves of the chapha. A slight effect has been given to this picture, a painted look.

Cattle grazing in the countryside

These are photographs of cattle in a pristine countryside. In the first picture you can see a single cow sitting peacefully in the middle of a green field, a scenic place near Lucerne, in Switzerland. In the background you can see the Alps. Small houses dot the green and peaceful countryside.

A shot taken from one of the cable cars going up to see the snow clad mountains in Switzerland. The contrast in the scenes is amazing. The bluish tint of the far off mountains and the dark green of the fir trees on the mountainside in the foreground. Also the lush green grass which cattle is feeding on. The cows are brown in colour.

This picture is of the English countryside. The white cows with black dots are grazing in a field next to the highway in Wales, Great Britain.

This image is quite spectacular because the black and white cattle is almost merging with the background of gray gravel. This photo was taken in Leh Ladakh. One can only wonder at the tiny bits of vegetation the cattle has to forge on! Tiny figures of humans can be seen on either side of the cattle on this gravely mountainside.

Stark barren desolate scene

This black and white image of a harsh landscape gives a sense of loneliness and desolation, a sense of grief and abandonment. The starkness is brought out by the dark sky in the background and the barren lifeless trees in the foreground. The rapidly drying up water source reminds us that life is dying. The reflection of the trees and the sky in the water is stronger than the actual trees and the sky, signifying that all that is life is its shadow.

The same image has been given an effect by using an orange glow, giving an impression of a forest fire.

Another images depicting graphically a forest fire. The bleakness of the scene shows how inhospitable the land is now, and it is as if setting it on fire is the only answer.

Snow and Ice on Mountains

These are close ups of the picturesque Ladakh mountains with snow and ice. The contrasting colours in these scenes make them a real treat for the eye.
In this picture you can see large boulders. In between them is a frozen stream. In the background is a mountain with melting snow and a deep blue sky. The different colors in this photo range from a deep blue to white. There is also the translucent colour of the frozen waters against the steel gray of the boulders and darker hues of the gravel on the mountains.

Here is the melting snow coming down like streams down the crevices of a mountain top.

Lake in Ladakh - Pangong Tso

Pangong Tso is a lake in the Himalayas and these are views of the lake from Ladakh in India. It borders not just India  but also Tibet and China. It freezes in winder although it is saline water. Apparently there is no aquatic life here although presence of  birds is seen. A number of migratory birds come here to nest.

These are photographs of the lake with blue skies as the background. The mountains are silhouetted against the sky and the blue waters of the lake are in the foreground. The first picture can be used as a header, as it is a stitched picture of two images, giving a panoramic view of Pangong Tso lake.

Snow-capped mountains can be seen in the background. A rough stony lake bank.

The water is so clear that the pebbles on the river bed are visible. Gray pebbles.

In this picture of the Ladakh lake the is a lone motorcyclist riding on the banks of the lake.

This is a serene nature scene. The waters of the lake are still. This area is very serene and still
